Ingredients

200–250g dried spaghetti (about half a box)

1 tablespoon olive oil
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
½ onion, finely diced
-
2 cups Manny’s Ultimate Bloody Mary
-
1 can (13 ounces) crushed tomatoes
-
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to spice level)
-
½ teaspoon sugar
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
Grated parmesan and fresh basil

PICCANTE SPAGHETTI
Directions

Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

Add garlic and onion; cook for 3–4 minutes until soft and fragrant.

Pour in crushed tomatoes and Manny’s Ultimate Bloody Mary. Stir to combine.

Add red pepper flakes, sugar, salt, and pepper.

Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low.

Simmer uncovered for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce. Toss well,adding a splash of pasta water if needed to coat noodles evenly.

Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.

Serve hot with parmesan and basil if preferred.
